There is nothing worse for an athlete than to have an injury keep them out of the game they love. Whether you are an avid athlete or a weekend warrior, injuries are bound to happen. Our chiropractor, Dr. Eulo, has successful helped many a sports injury patient recover from the pain and get back to their favorite sports quickly, yet without side-effect-causing drugs or invasive techniques. His sports chiropractic techniques (including spinal adjustments, massage therapy, and therapeutic exercises) are designed to help alleviate the root causes of back pain, neck pain and extremity pain so that the injury itself is healed, not just covered up. For more information on Dr. Eulo's treatment techniques visit the Sports Injury Treatment page.

Natural, Accelerated Healing from a Sports Injury Starts Here

Dr. Eulo has treated many types of sports injuries over the years and they can generally be broken down into two categories. The first category, and probably the most common, includes injuries related to overexertion and overextension. These would include sprains and strains and they can affect your knees, ankles, shoulders, wrists, elbows, hamstrings, shins, etc. These types of sports injury is usually the result of not warming up sufficiently before activity, over-doing the activity for too long, or doing the activity in poor form or with poor posture. The second category involves sudden sports injuries that happen as accidents. There are many of these, such as hits on the football field or poor landings or slips and falls that can result in concussions, whiplash and back injuries.

If you have suffered a sports injury and home treatment with PRICE therapy (Protect the injured area, Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) is not taking care of the problem, come in to see Dr. Eulo. There may be musculoskeletal alignment problems or deeper soft tissue damage that is complicating your long-term recovery. After a complete exam, he can recommend a sports chiropractic therapy regimen that will get you back on track sooner, and without all the painkillers.

Our chiropractor begins by examining your musculoskeletal system, including your spine. Misalignments in the spine may have complicated your injury, or may have been caused by the injury itself. If so, he can start you on a series of spinal or extremity adjustments to realign you and release any pinched nerves. As treatment continues, he often recommends a combination of corrective exercises, therapeutic stretches and massage therapy.

These therapies address the needs of your muscles, tendons and ligaments, working to re-strengthen them while improving their function and range of motion. Dr. Eulo can also advise you on improved form and posture while engaging in your chosen sport so as to avoid future injuries. At the same time, massage therapy eases back pain, neck pain and musculoskeletal tensions, releases pain-killing endorphins, reduces inflammation, increases circulation and stimulates internal healing.
